Privacy

In short

This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services and loads no fonts or content from other servers. I only process personal data when you send me a request through the form, and in the server logs that are technically required.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. Each time a page is opened, the server automatically records data sent by your browser: IP address, date and time, requested address, referrer, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The connection is encrypted with TLS.

Request form

When you send the form, I process what you enter: name, email address and date of the event, plus optionally phone number, venue, occasion, approximate number of guests and message. I use this to answer your request and prepare a possible offer (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Your details are not stored on the web server. The server sends them by email through the IONOS mail server to my inbox, and you receive a confirmation with a copy of your details at the address you entered. My inbox, info@djrialex.com, is also hosted by IONOS.

I delete the request once it is handled and no legal retention duties apply. If a booking follows, the retention periods of German tax and commercial law apply.

Spam protection

To fend off automated requests, the form contains a field that is invisible to people and checks how much time has passed since the page was loaded. The server also keeps a hashed, non-reversible value of your IP address for at most one hour to limit requests to five per hour (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Fonts

The fonts are served from this server. Loading the page does not connect to Google Fonts or any other provider.

SoundCloud

Embedded SoundCloud sets only load after you activate them with a click. Until then there is no connection to SoundCloud. After the click, your browser sends data such as your IP address to SoundCloud, and SoundCloud may set cookies. The legal basis is your consent given by the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); it applies to the current visit only.

Provider: SoundCloud Global Limited & Co. KG, Rheinsberger Str. 76/77, 10115 Berlin, Germany.

Links to Instagram, SoundCloud and WhatsApp

The links in the header, footer and form are plain links. No data is shared until you click one and open the provider’s site, where their privacy policy applies.

Your rights

You have the right to

  • access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18),
  • data portability (Art. 20),
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21),
  • withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).

An informal message to the address above is enough. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (HBDI), Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, Germany.
